About Us

Our Mission

At Students4Students, our mission is to bridge the gap in accessible and affordable extracurricular programming, by offering free courses and classes for students across the GTA. Our goal is to provide every child with the opportunity to explore their passions and develop new skills, regardless of their financial background.

Research shows that over half of Canadian families experience financial strain from their children's extracurricular activities, with one in four going into debt to cover these costs (Ipsos Canada). Yet extracurricular activities are important for development as “adolescents who participate in extracurricular activities demonstrate higher levels of academic achievement, greater character development, greater social development, and a greater sense of the importance of community involvement.” (U.S. Department of Education)

Students4Students addresses this issue by mobilizing talented and passionate older student mentors to lead free after-school programs for younger students. From debate and music to sports and STEM, our diverse range of offerings ensures that every child can find something they love. By breaking down socio-economic barriers, we strive to create a more equitable community where all students can thrive and reach their full potential.

Students4Students not only provides young learners with diverse programs but also fosters a sense of community and mentorship. High school students gain valuable leadership experience and volunteer hours, while younger students benefit from having relatable role models. Our programs break down socio-economic barriers, ensuring that all students have the chance to thrive and succeed.

Join us in our mission to make extracurricular activities accessible to all, and help us create a brighter, more equitable future for the next generation.

Our Story

Growing up in Toronto, co-founders and best friends Avi and William saw firsthand how the expensive extracurricular programs they participated in affected their families and their finances. As high school students, they began to ask the question, “is there a way to make extracurriculars more accessible?”

To serve this need, they founded Students4Students, a non-profit organization dedicated to providing affordable extracurricular programming. By partnering with schools and community centers, they offer a diverse range of free after-school classes led by high school students, ensuring that all young students have the opportunity to explore their interests and develop new passions.

William and Avi, best pals.
